Linux, Ansible developer
Nearshore ( Poland/ Hungary..etc)
Senior level: several years of hands-on Linux (RHEL) engineering, able to own a workstream end to end without close supervision - Confident shell scripting: Bash, awk, sed, regular expressions, text processing pipelines - Practical Ansible experience beyond running existing playbooks — writing, structuring and refactoring them - SSH key handling: key generation and distribution, authorized_keys and sshd configuration, agent forwarding, key rotation and removal at scale - Ability to work from incomplete documentation and derive the actual system state from the systems themselves - Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken — clear technical writing and confident presentation to non-Linux stakeholders
Must-Have (Ideally it should not be more than 3-5) Senior level: several years of hands-on Linux (RHEL) engineering, able to own a workstream end to end without close supervision - Confident shell scripting: Bash, awk, sed, regular expressions, text processing pipelines - Practical Ansible experience beyond running existing playbooks — writing, structuring and refactoring them - SSH key handling: key generation and distribution, authorized_keys and sshd configuration, agent forwarding, key rotation and removal at scale - Ability to work from incomplete documentation and derive the actual system state from the systems themselves - Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken — clear technical writing and confident presentation to non-Linux stakeholders
Good-to-Have SSH certificate handling (CA-signed, short-lived certificates as an alternative to static keys)
- PAM (Pluggable Authentication Modules) / Linux authentication and authorization internals
- Exposure to privileged access tooling — HashiCorp Vault and/or CyberArk
- Python for tooling
- German language skills
# Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role 1. Write analysis and reporting scripts against Linux systems (Bash/POSIX shell, awk, sed, grep, standard coreutils) to extract and evaluate system and configuration state 2. - Automate and scale these routines through Ansible (roles, playbooks, inventories, variable design, idempotent tasks) 3. - Substantially rework and consolidate an existing Ansible configuration — refactoring, not just extending 4. - Work directly with platform, operations and security stakeholders: clarify requirements, present findings, defend design decisions 5. - Document and hand over the resulting automation so it can be operated by the platform teams
