Job Objective- Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. This role acts as the right-hand to the CFO, ensuring that financial strategies align with the company’s overall objectives, managing teams within the finance department, and providing financial insights that drive strategic decision-making.
Primary Responsibilities
· Financial Strategy & Planning: o Assist the CFO in developing the organization’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives. o Lead the development and implementation of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to support business growth. o Provide recommendations to optimize financial performance, cash flow, and capital investments.
· Financial Operations: o Oversee day-to-day operations of the finance department, including accounting, treasury, tax, and financial reporting. o Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards o Manage working capital, liquidity, and investment strategies to meet operational and strategic goals.
· Financial Reporting & Analysis: o Supervise the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and the board of directors. o Analyze financial performance and present key insights and recommendations to support business decisions. o Lead the creation of dashboards and KPIs for monitoring financial health.
· Risk Management & Compliance: o Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements o Partner with internal audit and external auditors to maintain audit readiness and financial accuracy. o Identify and mitigate financial risks, including currency, credit, and interest rate exposure.
· Leadership & Team Development: o Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance and engagement. o Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance function.
Knowledge and Skill requirements • Chartered Accountant/MBA(Finance) having minimum 10 years of work experience. Preference in Sugar/Manufacturing Industry • Analytical mind set with experience in strategic planning • Strategic Thinking & Financial Analysis • Risk Management & Compliance • Excellent Communication & Stakeholder Management • Problem Solving & Decision-Making • Attention to Detail & Accuracy
