Deputy Manager - Sales

Roles and Responsibilities:

• To achieve the annual sales targets assigned for a given region by increasing sales of the existing products to existing customers, new products to existing customers and regularly creating new customers.
• To create customer data base for the assigned region in ERP with all details like location, concerned persons, end uses, brands, market size, which products do they buy, from whom, what quantities, prices, what are we selling to them, quantities, and prices.
• Track samples submitted to customers and provide feedback to the organization on regularly basis.
• Ensure prompt receipt of outstanding's within the agreed credit terms.
• To increase market reach through regular customer visits and to develop relations within the customer organization.
• Effective use of social media and modern marketing tools to attract prospective customers.
• Follow up with the customers for new product requirements.
• Keep track of market trends, new product launches and provide inputs to the Business Development Manager.
• To collect market samples and share with application lab for improving market knowledge.
• To track opportunity sales in a region by arbitrage sales.

Requirements of the position:

• A person with minimum 4 - 5 years of sales experience in Home, Personal care or allied industries. (either domestic or exports)
• Having good contacts with key people at regional customers at R&D/Purchase/Technical level.
• Person must be willing to travel extensively (approx. 10 days per month).
• Must be able to work under pressure and a go getter.
• Have good working relationship contacts in the local chemical market e.g Majid Bunder.
• He / she must be able to collect market data on regional level in terms of market size for each end use (e.g. shampoo) 
• Competition Analysis – Must have good knowledge about the major competitors (local as well regional), market prices, market trends in end use as well as specialty chemical industries.
• Should have good business acumen and leadership skills.
• Good communication skills and knowledge of English and respective regional language.

Must have good knowledge of computers and software like MS Office and Outlook etc
