Job Summary

The Plant Manager will have end-to-end accountability for overall plant operations, performance improvement, and brownfield expansion initiatives. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on delivering world-class performance in production, quality, engineering, safety, and cost while driving operational excellence and future capacity expansion.

Preference will be given to candidates from North India with strong Automotive Seating industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

Plant Operations & Performance Leadership: Take complete ownership of the existing plant operations and drive continuous improvement across all functions to achieve operational excellence and meet growing customer demands.

Brownfield Expansion & Capacity Enhancement: Lead brownfield expansion projects, including additional lines setup, equipment installation, process optimization, layout modification, and successful ramp-up of new capacity to support increasing client volumes.

End-to-End Plant Management: Own all plant functions — Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain & Logistics, Industrial Engineering, and Plant Administration.

Strategic & Operational Leadership:

• Develop and execute the plant’s annual operating plan, budgets, and P&L targets.
• Achieve and consistently exceed KPIs on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity (SQDCP).
• Ensure 100% on-time and in-full delivery to the client while maintaining the highest standards.

Team & Culture Building: Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing, multi-functional team. Strengthen a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational discipline.

Engineering & Technical Excellence: Drive robust process engineering, new product industrialization, equipment reliability, and modernization programs with specific focus on automotive seating manufacturing (frames, mechanisms, foam, trim, assembly, etc.).

Compliance & Sustainability: Ensure full adherence to all statutory, regulatory, environmental, health & safety norms, and global organizational standards (IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).

Stakeholder Management: Act as the single point of contact for the plant with the client, corporate functions, and external authorities.

Continuous Improvement: Champion Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, and Industry 4.0 initiatives to deliver year-on-year gains in productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / production / industrial engineering (Master’s or MBA preferred).
• Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in automotive manufacturing operations, with at least 5–7 years in senior plant leadership roles (Plant Head / Deputy Plant Head / Operations Head).
• Demonstrated success in managing existing automotive plants and leading brownfield expansion projects.
• Strong experience in Automotive Seating (Seat Frames, Recliners, Sliders, Headrests, Complete Seat Assembly) is preferred.
• Tier-1 supplier experience to major OEMs is a distinct advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of automotive quality management systems (IATF 16949), Lean/TPM/Six Sigma methodologies, and modern seating manufacturing technologies.
• Proven P&L ownership and experience managing multi-crore operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Candidates from North India will be given strong preference.
• Willingness to be based full-time in Manesar, Haryana.
