Azure Cloud Architect

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud / Solutions Architect to lead architecture design, governance, and implementation guidance across our Azure environment. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong hands‑on experience in Azure enterprise architecture, cloud governance, security best practices, and large‑scale cloud deployments and transformations.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the Azure enterprise architecture blueprint (landing zones, subscriptions, networking, identity, governance, and operations) aligned with business goals.
• Establish and enforce cloud governance, security, and compliance standards for Azure (policies, RBAC, Azure Policy, WAF, Azure Security Center, etc.).
• Provide implementation guidance and best practices for development, infrastructure, and security teams across Azure workloads.
• Lead or actively participate in large‑scale cloud migrations and transformations, including assessment, planning, and execution.
• Design secure, scalable, and cost‑optimized Azure solutions covering IaaS, PaaS, networking, identity, monitoring, and data solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust cloud architecture and operating models.
• Conduct architecture reviews, governance checkpoints, and maturity assessments across projects and portfolios.
• Stay updated on Azure capabilities, roadmap, and industry trends, and evangelize cloud best practices within the organization.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–12+ years in IT architecture, with 5+ years focused on Azure cloud architecture.
• Deep hands‑on experience in Azure enterprise architecture, including landing zones, Azure AD, networking (VNets, ExpressRoute, VPN), and subscription governance.
• Strong understanding of cloud governance frameworks, security best practices, and compliance (e.g., ISO, SOC, PCI, or similar).
• Proven experience in large‑scale cloud migrations, transformations, and modernization programs.
• Strong knowledge of Azure compute, storage, databases, networking, security, and monitoring services.
• Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC) tools such as ARM, Bicep, Terraform, or similar.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to present to technical teams and business leaders.

Nice‑to‑have

• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar.
• Experience with multi‑cloud or hybrid environments and enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, etc.).
• Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
