Position: Project Manager – Solar Projects

Location: Mumbai
Department: Projects & Operations
Reporting to: Head – Business Development

Role Overview

The Project Manager will oversee the end-to-end execution of solar projects and the projects financed and managed by Aerem. This includes Partner onboarding, vendor coordination, on-site execution, quality assurance, and customer handover. The role bridges technology, execution, and financing partners, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Execution & Delivery
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of solar projects (residential, SME, and commercial rooftop systems).
  • Create and track project schedules, budgets, and milestones.
  • Ensure smooth Partner onboarding and processing of partner payouts.
• Vendor & Partner Coordination
  • Liaise with EPC vendors, Sun Store Team, Lead gen Partners to ensure timely and quality delivery.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and adherence to Aerem’s technical & financial standards.
  • Support the onboarding of new EPC/installation partners/Lead-Gen Partners.
• Technical Oversight
  • Validate solar system designs, layouts, and BOQs prepared by the team.
  • Ensure installation quality aligns with MNRE/CEA/state regulatory standards.
  • Monitor site inspections, testing, and commissioning.
• Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as the key point of contact for customers during project execution.
  • Provide regular updates to customers and internal stakeholders (Sales, finance & operations teams).
  • Ensure seamless project handover and customer training.
• Risk, Safety & Compliance
  • Implement health, safety, and environment (HSE) practices at sites.
  • Identify risks in project execution and create mitigation plans.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and financing norms.
• Financial & Performance Reporting
  • Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and control costs.
  • Report project status, risks, and profitability to management.
  • Support in aligning project execution with Aerem’s financing models.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Civil preferred).
• 2-3 years of experience in solar project management / EPC / renewable energy sector.
• Strong understanding of solar PV systems, net-metering, inverters, and installation best practices.
• Knowledge of vendor management, contracts, and financing-linked projects.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team coordination skills.
• Proficiency in MS Project/Primavera, AutoCAD, and project monitoring tools.
• Willingness to travel for site supervision if required.
