We're seeking a Business Process Operational Excellence Manager to lead and improve our Operational Excellence Management System (OEMS), including ISO 9001, PSM, RMP, and RC14001®. This role is key to driving continuous improvement, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a culture of safety and operational efficiency.
The BPOE Manager will be responsible for identifying and driving improvements across business processes, ensuring safety and environmental compliance, and fostering a strong culture of continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all activities related to Process Safety, Risk Management, and Responsible Care® / RC14001.
Act as the Management Representative for the RC14001 Management System.
Develop, implement, and maintain safety and quality procedures, training, and compliance programs.
Serve as subject matter expert for PSM, RMP, and ISO 9001 standards, ensuring regulatory compliance.
Support the review of capital projects to meet applicable codes and system standards.
Set and monitor goals, KPIs, and performance metrics to support operational excellence.
Lead or support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation as part of the Disaster Team.
Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives in operational and business systems.
Oversee staff supporting OEMS and ensure effective system implementation and maintenance.
Participate in safety audits, committee meetings, PHAs, MOCs, PSSRs, and related compliance activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 8 years of experience in process safety, operational excellence, or environmental compliance, preferably within the chemical or industrial manufacturing sector.
Strong working knowledge of RC14001®, ISO 9001, OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, and integrated management systems.
Proven leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and change initiatives.
Ability to analyze complex systems, identify gaps, and drive measurable improvements.
