Litigation | Family Law Solicitor (Dual Qualified – SA & UK) | Remote

A UK-based law firm is seeking a highly experienced Litigator | Family Law Solicitor to join their team in a fully remote capacity.

This is a unique opportunity for a dual-qualified legal professional (South African Attorney & UK Solicitor) to work exclusively on UK Family Law and Dispute Resolution matters within an international legal environment.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will manage a caseload of UK-based family law matters, providing expert legal advice, litigation support, and dispute resolution services.

This role requires a highly independent, detail-oriented legal professional with strong experience in family law litigation and client management.

Key Responsibilities

Family Law & Dispute Resolution

• Manage a full caseload of UK family law matters
• Handle divorce, child custody, maintenance, and matrimonial disputes
• Provide legal advice on family law legislation and procedures (UK jurisdiction)
• Represent clients in litigation and dispute resolution processes
• Draft legal documents including:
  • pleadings
  • court applications
  • settlement agreements
  • consent orders

Legal Drafting & Case Management

• Prepare and review legal documentation and correspondence
• Manage cases from instruction through to resolution
• Conduct legal research on UK family law matters
• Ensure compliance with UK legal standards and court procedures

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Provide professional legal advice to clients
• Manage client expectations and maintain high service standards
• Liaise with counsel, courts, and third parties in the UK
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records

Minimum Requirements

• LLB degree (non-negotiable)
• Admitted Attorney (South Africa)
• Admitted UK Solicitor (dual qualification required)
• Minimum 6+ years’ experience in litigation / dispute resolution
• Strong experience in Family Law (essential)
• Proven experience handling divorce, custody, and matrimonial matters
• Ability to work remotely and independently
