We’re looking for a hands-on and experienced Payroll Officer who can work independently and lead a small team when required, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for our employees.
Position Overview
The Payroll Officer will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, compliance with government regulations, and continuous process improvement. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage payroll operations with minimal supervision and provide leadership support when needed.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Payroll Management
o Process accurate and timely payroll for all employees in compliance with Philippine labor laws and company policies.
o Validate timekeeping data, attendance records, and leave reports.
Compliance & Reporting
o Ensure statutory deductions (tax, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) and government-mandated contributions are correctly processed.
o Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and variance analysis for Finance and Management.
Leadership & Collaboration
o Act as an individual contributor or lead a small payroll team, providing guidance and training when necessary.
o Coordinate with HR and Finance on employee movements (new hires, terminations, salary adjustments).
Process Improvement
o Identify and implement payroll process enhancements for efficiency and accuracy.
Employee Support
o Address payroll-related inquiries promptly and professionally.
Audit & Documentation
o Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records.
o Assist in internal and external audits related to payroll and compensation.
Required Tools & Technologies
Payroll Systems: SAP, ADP, QuickBooks, or similar platforms
Timekeeping Solutions: Kronos, Biometrics-based systems, or equivalent
HRIS/ERP Platforms: Oracle, Workday, or similar systems
Data Management: Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros)
Compliance Tools: Government portals for SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR e-filing
Reporting Tools: Power BI or similar for payroll analytics (preferred)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing and administration.
Strong understanding of Philippine labor laws, taxation, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in payroll and timekeeping systems.
Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and lead a small team when required.
Experience in BPO or shared services environment is an advantage.
