The Project Scheduler will be assigned to a project and performs scheduling activities for projects in development and execution across the organization[s]. The Scheduler is responsible for developing relevant, tracking progress, providing a forecast of the work to be done, analyzing project schedules, and making recommendations for recovery plans and optimization.

Develop and manage work plans and project schedules which are critical to the overall organization’s /project success: these schedules must be resource-loaded and built/managed in MS Projects / P6 [Primavera]

Develop strong working relationships with the relevant departmental heads, Project owners, and Schedulers, to ensure that the project schedules are accurate, logical, and aligned with the targets. Work closely with all other Schedulers as it relates to assessing work plans to determine synergies and ensure alignment.

Track, monitor, and analyze departmental schedules against the baseline, including identifying critical activities, and reviewing forecasts and progress achieved to date.

Develop reports on the progress of work plans. This includes milestones and “look ahead” reports.

Communicate work progress and status via weekly/monthly reporting; facilitate weekly/monthly status meetings with the department heads. Review milestones with the departmental or project scope and identify any anomalies or inconsistencies.

Apply all aspects of proper scheduling techniques including predecessors, successors, links, and baseline. Identify the impact on dependencies, resources, and other project-level issues when changes are implemented.

Liaise with the Schedulers to identify synergies and develop implementation plans between the departments including Operations maintenance and capital expenditure plans and Engineering’s project work plans.
