The Inspection Engineer is responsible for conducting and overseeing inspections to ensure equipment, structures, and systems comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role involves identifying defects, assessing risks, and recommending corrective actions to maintain operational integrity. The Inspection Engineer works closely with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure compliance, prevent failures, and optimize performance.
Key Responsibilities
Executing Routine Inspection Tasks & Performing Analysis.
Planning Inspection Works for Outages & Turnarounds
Preparing Inspection & Test Plans in accordance with applicable Codes, Standards and Historical Data
Performing inspection of static and rotating equipment
Performing Non-Destructive Testing when necessary
Monitoring & Updating of Equipment History
Desired Skills and Experience
Must have minimum three (3) years working experience in petrochemical facilities (as per B.6.3).
All Candidates shall have at minimum a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience in performing inspection of vessels, heat exchangers, piping, relief valves, tanks, pumps, compressors, turbines etc.
Knowledge of ASME B31.3 and ASME BPV Codes. Current certification is an advantage.
Knowledge of API 510, API 570, API 653 Codes. Current certification is an advantage.
Knowledge of Risk Based Inspection practices. Knowledge of All Assets will be an advantage.
Knowledge of conventional NDT Techniques (E.g. VT, PT, MPI, UT, RT, ECT etc.)
Knowledge of advanced NDT Techniques (E.g. Advanced Ultrasonics, Advanced Radiographic Techniques, Advanced Eddy Current Techniques etc.)
Knowledge of developing and reviewing weld procedures, PWHT procedures etc.
Knowledge of weld inspection practices. CWI certification is an advantage.
Knowledge of coatings and coating inspection practices. NACE certification is an advantage.
Knowledge of Pressure Safety/Relieving Devices and internal components.
Plan, execute and supervise routine inspection activities in accordance with codes and standards
Plan, execute and supervise inspection projects
Duration of Contract
