Technical Manager

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities and Skills

• Leads technical direction for all engineering activities, ensuring high-quality designs, thorough reviews, strong technical diligence, and effective collaboration across teams and departments.
• Oversees end-to-end project execution by planning, scheduling, monitoring progress, and managing budgets, resources, scopes, documentation, and client requirements to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Translates organizational goals into clear technical strategies and roadmaps, driving innovation, identifying risks early, and implementing process, design, and technology improvements that support long-term objectives.
• Strengthens team capability by hiring, training, mentoring, evaluating performance, and fostering an environment where staff can ask questions, share knowledge, and grow professionally.
• Supports business growth by preparing technical and commercial proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and risk assessments for RFQs, and by contributing to both new and ongoing business development initiatives.
• Serves as the communication bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, simplifying complex information, maintaining transparency, and ensuring all work aligns with quality management standards.
• Promotes a culture of continuous improvement by monitoring industry trends, enhancing systems and processes, and driving increases in safety, quality, efficiency, and technical capability across projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s/ Master’s or equivalent in Civil /Mechanical Engineering
• 10 - 15 years’ related experience in leadership and technical roles
• Relevant working experience with an engineering contractor or production company in the process industry;
• A team player and having the ability to interact effectively with client’s organization and others disciplines in our taskforce;
• Willingness to build a professional relationship with staff, subcontractors, clients and all other stakeholders;
• Must be well organized with the ability to multi-task and have good communication (written and oral) skills;
• Demonstrated ability to think and work independently;
• Excellent motivational and interpersonal skills;
• Must be client-focused and advancement oriented;
• Must be proficient or familiar with various software, such as Business software: Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project, Word, etc.)
