This role combines sales responsibilities with customs clearance expertise. The candidate will develop new business opportunities in freight forwarding while also managing and coordinating import/export customs clearance procedures to ensure smooth cargo movement.
Sales Duties:
Identify and pursue new clients in need of freight forwarding services (air, sea, and land).
Prepare and present quotes tailored to customer logistics needs.
Build and maintain relationships with customers and partners.
Meet sales targets and report market trends to management.
Customs Clearance Duties:
Handle import/export customs documentation in compliance with local laws.
Coordinate with customs brokers, government agencies, and transporters.
Classify goods using correct HS codes and ensure correct duty/tax calculation.
Track shipments and resolve clearance delays or issues.
5+ years experience in freight forwarding, sales, or customs clearance.
Knowledge of local customs procedures and international trade laws.
Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Familiar with Incoterms, HS codes, and clearance documentation.
Proficiency in MS Office; experience with logistics software is a plus.
