Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Freight Forwarding Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in logistics, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, developing customized transportation solutions, and driving revenue growth while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in freight forwarding services, including ocean, air, ground transportation, and cross-trade.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, understanding their logistics needs and providing tailored solutions.
Sales Presentations: Develop and deliver persuasive sales presentations to potential clients, showcasing capabilities and services.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
Collaboration: Work closely with operations, customer service, and other internal teams to ensure seamless execution of customer shipments.
Sales Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate sales reports, forecasts, and client records.
Target Achievement: Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the company.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience, preferably in logistics.
Skills: Strong understanding of international trade and logistics, excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Language Proficiency: Fluent in English; French is a plus.
Additional Requirements: Motorized with a valid driver's license.
