Geekhunter is hiring on behalf of our client, a global data and AI consulting firm with a strong presence across Europe, Asia, and North America. The company specializes in helping organizations transform their business through data-driven strategies, advanced analytics, and AI solutions.

We are looking for a Consulting Director to lead and grow our consulting practice while partnering with C-level executives to transform their marketing organizations through data, technology, and digital capabilities. This role combines business development, client leadership, project delivery, people management, and practice development to drive sustainable business growth and exceptional client outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

Client Advisory & Business Transformation

• Partner with senior client stakeholders, including CMOs, CDOs, and CEOs, to drive marketing transformation initiatives.
• Bring together cross-functional expertise across Data Science, Activation (Media Buying, CRM, etc.), and Creativity to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Position the company as the preferred strategic partner for clients' digital and marketing transformation journey.

Practice Leadership

• Lead and develop the Consulting practice within the country.
• Drive the growth, direction, and overall performance of the Consulting Department.
• Promote the department's achievements through industry events, PR initiatives, and other external channels.

Project & Delivery Excellence

• Ensure optimal consultant resource allocation across client engagements and projects.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams consisting of consultants, data scientists, strategic planners, and media specialists.
• Maintain the highest standards of quality across all project deliverables.
• Take full accountability for successful project execution from both client satisfaction and team performance perspectives.

Business Development

• Develop and execute the commercial strategy to expand the consulting business.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, industry events, referrals, and outbound prospecting.
• Build tailored proposals that address client business needs and objectives.
• Manage and monitor the commercial pipeline to ensure sustainable business growth.

Client Relationship Management

• Strengthen and expand relationships with existing clients.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities across Consulting, Data Science, Activation, and Creativity services.
• Grow consulting engagements within existing client accounts while creating opportunities for other business units.

People Development

• Develop consultants through coaching, mentoring, training, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Foster continuous learning in consulting methodologies, digital ecosystems, technical expertise, and soft skills.
• Encourage collaboration and best practice sharing across global teams.

Knowledge Management

• Build and enhance the organization's consulting knowledge base through client engagements, frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
• Ensure knowledge is effectively shared across both local and global consulting teams.

Job Requirements

• This role can be based in Indonesia (Jakarta Selatan) or Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), depending on the successful candidate's location.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience, including experience in a Tier-1 consulting firm.
• Minimum 4 years of experience leading client engagements, consulting projects, and/or managing strategic client relationships.
• Proven senior-level experience in Data, with a broad understanding of the end-to-end data ecosystem, including data strategy, data engineering, data science, analytics, AI/ML, and cloud technologies.
• Previous experience in a senior leadership role (e.g. Director, Head of Data, Data Practice Lead, or equivalent) with responsibility for leading teams, managing stakeholders, and driving business outcomes.
• Experience building, leading, and scaling high-performing data organizations and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is highly preferred and will be considered a strong advantage.
• Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex consulting engagements.
• Strong business development capability with a track record of acquiring and growing client accounts.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior executives, including C-level leaders.
• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for leveraging data to drive business decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to identify commercial opportunities and convert them into business growth.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving and execution.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities, with the ability to develop high-performing teams.
• Self-driven, highly autonomous, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
