SAP FICO & Business Applications Specialist

Overview

Geekhunter is hiring on behalf of our Partner. We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO & Business Applications Specialist to lead the governance, enhancement, and continuous improvement of SAP Finance & Controlling solutions across the business. This role will serve as the key SAP FICO subject matter expert, partnering closely with Finance and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions while ensuring system optimization, project delivery, and operational excellence.

Main Responsibilities

SAP FICO Solution Ownership

• Act as the SAP FICO functional owner responsible for solution design, governance, and continuous improvement.
• Provide SAP expertise across key finance-related processes.
• Integrate SAP FICO with MM (Materials Management) and SD (Sales & Distribution) modules to ensure seamless data flow.
• Manage SAP FICO application support, enhancement requests, incident resolution, and system optimization.
• Manage FICO modules including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), and Product Costing (CO-PC).
• Define functional specifications, review technical designs, and ensure quality delivery.

SAP Project & Transformation Delivery

• Lead SAP FICO implementation, rollout, upgrade, and enhancement projects, including change management.
• Support SAP S/4HANA migration and digital transformation initiatives.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Act as the bridge between IT and Finance/business users to ensure effective solution delivery.
• Facilitate requirement gathering, user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and change management activities.

Profile Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 6–10 years of hands-on experience as an SAP FICO Specialist with strong functional business partnering experience with Finance & Controlling.
• Solid experience partnering with Finance teams to understand business requirements, optimize financial processes, and deliver SAP solutions that support business objectives.
• Strong business process knowledge in Finance & Controlling, including:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Asset Accounting (AA)
  • Cost Center Accounting (CCA)
  • Internal Orders
  • Product Costing
  • Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)
• Experience managing SAP implementation, enhancement, rollout, change management, and application support projects.
• Strong understanding of SAP FI/CO integration with other SAP modules, particularly MM and SD.
• Experience in FMCG, consumer goods, or manufacturing industries is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
