Senior CMDB Lead

Job Responsibilities

• Lead overall ServiceNow CMDB operations, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Own the design and implementation of CMDB improvement plans, including impact assessments and technical changes.
• Manage the complete Configuration Item (CI) lifecycle, including identification, reconciliation, relationship mapping, and data integration in accordance with CSDM standards.
• Drive Service Mapping activities and monitor CMDB health, data accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Identify and resolve CMDB data quality issues, integration failures, and data mismatches in collaboration with Cloud, Infrastructure, Application, and IT Asset Management teams.
• Develop and maintain operational dashboards, KPIs, and service-quality reports for key stakeholders.
• Explore and implement ServiceNow AI capabilities to improve monitoring, anomaly detection, data quality, and troubleshooting.
• Provide technical leadership to the CMDB engineering team, including technical reviews, quality assurance, mentoring, and knowledge transfer.
• Lead incident triaging and resolution of CMDB-related issues while ensuring operational continuity and service quality

Job Requirements

• Minimum 12 years of experience with ServiceNow, with strong hands-on experience in CMDB implementation, administration, and Asset Management.
• Proven experience delivering 4–5+ ServiceNow CMDB/Asset Management projects in a Design Lead or Architect capacity.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow CSDM, CI classes, CI relationships, IRE, and CMDB Health.
• Experience working across on-premise, cloud, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
• Strong experience with ServiceNow Discovery, MID Server, Service Mapping, Asset Management, and system integrations.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow AI capabilities, including Now Assist and AI-enabled workflows.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality management, operational support, and stakeholder management.
• Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to collaborate directly with international stakeholders and a UK-based reporting line.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
• CIS – Data Foundations (CMDB & CSDM) certification is required.
• CIS – Discovery or CIS – Service Mapping certification is highly preferred.
