POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the day-to-day operation, upkeep, and first-level troubleshooting of machine vision inspection systems installed on production lines, ensuring consistent and reliable inspection performance under the guidance of the Vision System Engineer.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Daily operation and monitoring of vision inspection systems on production lines.
• First-level troubleshooting and breakdown attendance for vision systems.
• Minor adjustments to camera, lighting, and focus settings as guided by the Vision System Engineer.
• Cleaning and upkeep of cameras, lenses, and lighting units.
• Recording and reporting of false reject/false accept occurrences.
• Assisting in calibration activities of vision systems.
• Loading and switching inspection programs/recipes during product changeovers.
• Carrying out preventive maintenance checks as per the maintenance schedule.
• Maintaining logs/records of breakdowns, downtime, and corrective actions taken.
• Coordinating with production and quality teams on inspection-related issues.
• Assisting the Vision System Engineer during new project trials, installation, and validation.
• Basic spares inventory management for vision system components.
• Any other responsibilities that management may entrust from time to time.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Education
• BTech in Electronics / Electrical / Instrumentation or related field.
Skills:
• 1-3 years of experience in a production/maintenance environment; exposure to vision systems preferred.
• Basic knowledge of machine vision systems and inspection concepts.
• Familiarity with camera, lens, and lighting setups.
• Basic PLC/HMI operation knowledge.
• Ability to read electrical/wiring drawings.
• Good observation, attention to detail, and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic computer skills for handling vision software interfaces.
• Willingness to work in shifts and support the production floor.
