S3D/ SP3D Modeller - Offshore Projects

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced S3D/ SP3D Modeller Engineer with strong exposure to offshore Oil & Gas projects. The role involves developing 3D models and engineering drawings for various support structures used across offshore facilities, while working closely with multiple engineering disciplines.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with SP3D / Smart 3D and a good understanding of support modelling, drawing preparation, interdisciplinary coordination, and offshore project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and modify 3D models for pipe supports, equipment supports, secondary steel, HVAC supports, and cable tray supports using SP3D / Smart 3D.
• Interpret engineering inputs such as P&IDs, piping isometrics, structural drawings, and general arrangement drawings for modelling activities.
• Coordinate support designs with piping, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and other relevant disciplines.
• Identify and resolve modelling conflicts and support interdisciplinary model reviews.
• Generate fabrication, installation, and general arrangement drawings from the 3D model.
• Prepare and verify MTOs/BOMs to ensure material quantities and model information are accurate.
• Ensure drawings contain appropriate dimensions, annotations, material information, and fabrication details.
• Incorporate design changes, review comments, and project updates into the models and drawings.
• Consider offshore requirements such as accessibility, installation, lifting, constructability, safety, and space constraints while developing support designs.
• Maintain model quality, naming conventions, attributes, revisions, and other project-specific standards.
• Coordinate with project and site teams to address fabrication or installation-related queries and update drawings where required.
• Deliver modelling and drawing activities within agreed project timelines and quality requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in SP3D / Smart 3D modelling.
• Experience in offshore Oil & Gas projects, preferably involving FPSO or fixed offshore platforms.
• Hands-on knowledge of Structure and Hangers & Supports within SP3D / Smart 3D.
• Experience in preparing 2D drawings from 3D models and working with MTO/BOM outputs.
• Good understanding of support design and its interface with piping and structural disciplines.
• Exposure to Navisworks or similar tools for 3D model review is preferred.
• Ability to understand engineering drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, and structural GAs.
• Good coordination and communication skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
