Role Summary

Lead Engineer – Offshore Engineering Projects

InnoQuest Consulting is partnering with a well-established Engineering Services organization to identify an experienced Lead Engineer who can drive engineering delivery across complex offshore projects. This is a leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, cross-functional coordination, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

The successful candidate will oversee multidisciplinary engineering activities, support technical proposals and bid execution, coordinate with procurement and project teams, and ensure timely, high-quality project delivery aligned with customer expectations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Delivery

• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities across complex offshore engineering projects.
• Provide technical direction to engineering teams, ensuring effective collaboration across various engineering disciplines.
• Drive timely completion of engineering deliverables while maintaining quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
• Act as the primary point of coordination between engineering teams, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor engineering progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines.
• Facilitate project reviews, engineering planning sessions, and progress tracking with relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute technical expertise during proposal development, tender evaluations, and bid preparation activities.

Project & Procurement Interface

• Support procurement activities by reviewing engineering documentation, technical specifications, material requisitions, and vendor deliverables.
• Coordinate closely with sourcing and supply chain teams to ensure engineering inputs are available for timely procurement.
• Work collaboratively with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve technical and execution-related issues.
• Ensure engineering documentation is maintained in accordance with project requirements, quality systems, and document control processes.

Desired Experience

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in large engineering environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinating engineering execution across projects.
• Exposure to engineering support during proposal, bidding, procurement, and project delivery phases.
• Prior experience in engineering services, or project-based organizations will be an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Good understanding of offshore engineering practices, project execution methodologies, and applicable engineering standards.
• Experience coordinating multiple engineering disciplines and managing complex technical deliverables.
• Familiarity with engineering documentation, procurement workflows, vendor management, and project planning processes.

Preferred Exposure

Candidates with experience supporting large offshore facilities, marine infrastructure, energy projects, or other multidisciplinary engineering environments will be particularly well suited for this role.
