QA Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Execute manual test cases and identify defects, ensuring the software meets specified requirements and quality standards.
• Collaborate with the development team, QA teams, project managers, and clients to understand project requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
• Conduct functional, integration, regression, and usability testing to validate software functionality and user experience.
• Document test results using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar bug tracking software, track defects, and provide detailed reports to the development team.
• Participate in test case reviews, identifying areas for improvement and suggesting test automation opportunities.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of test data and test environments.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in software testing methodologies and tools.

Required Skill Set:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience in Android/iOS Mobile Application Testing, including knowledge of mobile device configurations, app store guidelines, and mobile-specific bugs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and processes (Agile methodologies).
• Familiarity with manual testing techniques, including test case design and execution.
• Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using bug tracking and test management tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
• Knowledge of programming languages and scripting is a plus.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively across teams.
• ISTQB certification or any relevant software testing certifications are a plus
