Job Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant with experience in handling jewellery store accounts, inventory, and taxation compliance. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day accounting entries (sales, purchases, expenses, receipts)
• Maintain and reconcile high-value jewellery inventory (gold, diamond, silver stock)
• Manage billing system and ensure GST-compliant invoicing (HSN/SAC codes)
• Perform daily cash, UPI, card, and bank reconciliation
• Maintain purchase and vendor accounts including bullion and material suppliers
• Prepare and file GST-related records and support tax compliance
• Assist in monthly stock audit and physical inventory verification
• Maintain customer and vendor ledgers accurately
• Support financial reporting including sales and profit tracking

Required Skills:

• Experience in jewellery accounting preferred (mandatory advantage)
• Strong knowledge of GST and basic taxation
• Experience in handling inventory-based accounting
• Good knowledge of accounting software (Tally/ERP/POS systems)
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial records

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• 1 to 2 years of accounting experience (preferably in retail/jewellery industry)
• Ability to manage high-value transactions and stock control
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
