We are partnering with BTV Media Group in search of Head of Data Management and AI. This role will be the key towards a data-driven, AI-powered content and subscription business. Head of Data Management and AI will define and deliver the Group’s data vision: a unified, modern, cloud-based data ecosystem that enables intelligence, innovation, and measurable impact across all markets and platforms — primarily SVOD, but also broadcast, digital, and advertising. This role is about redefining how first-party data is used to predict, prevent, and personalize. It involves churn management, audience segmentation, campaign optimization and lifetime value growth. We are looking for a strategic leader who connects technology, business, and analytics. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership • Develop and implement a forward-looking Data and AI Strategy aligned with the Group’s business goals, focusing on subscriber growth, churn prevention, and monetization of first-party data. • Lead the modernization of the data ecosystem — migrating from on-premises systems to scalable, cloud-based data lakes, analytics platforms, and AI/ML environments. • Partner with business units (Marketing/Digital, Product, Technology, Finance, Sales) to turn insights into measurable actions that improve retention, engagement, and profitability. Data Governance & Operations • Establish a robust data governance framework, ensuring data quality, privacy, and compliance (GDPR and local standards). • Oversee data collection, storage, processing, and access across the Group, ensuring a single source of truth for all critical metrics and use cases. • Ensure security, reliability, and ethical use of AI and data assets across all business operations. AI and Advanced Analytics • Build and lead AI use cases that directly support key business priorities, such as churn prediction, content recommendation, pricing optimization, audience clustering, and campaign performance prediction. • Drive the integration of AI and automation in workflows across marketing, product, and operations. • Foster collaboration between data scientists, engineers, and business teams to deliver measurable impact. People and vendor leadership • Recruit and lead a multi-disciplinary data team across engineering, analytics, and science. • Cultivate a culture of innovation, learning, and data-driven thinking across the organization. • Manage external partners, vendors, and cloud providers with a clear focus on performance, accountability, and value creation. Execution and Delivery • Oversee the portfolio of major data and AI projects, from roadmap definition to delivery and scaling. • Ensure on-time, within-budget execution and alignment with measurable business outcomes. • Continuously scan market trends, new technologies, and best practices to future-proof the Group’s data capability. Qualifications and Experience: • University degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field. • 10+ years of experience in data management, analytics, or technology transformation — ideally with exposure to media, telecommunications, banks, big-techs, or digital subscription businesses. • Proven success in data modernization — from legacy systems to cloud-based platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). • Strong track record in AI/ML project delivery, ideally including churn prediction, customer segmentation, and personalization. • Experience leading multi-country or multicultural teams, with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. • Deep understanding of data governance, data privacy, and compliance frameworks. • Strategic yet hands-on — able to define the vision and ensure its disciplined execution.
