NPI Quality Manager (MY)

We are looking for a seasoned and driven Johor based NPI Quality Manager for our client in the EMS space to oversee quality assurance efforts for their new product introduction initiatives. This role is pivotal in ensuring new products meet stringent quality standards from the design phase through to production, working in partnership with various departments to embed quality at every stage.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead quality strategy and planning for NPI projects, utilizing APQP and associated methodologies
• Create and maintain quality control plans, PFMEAs, and inspection criteria Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to meet quality goals
• Validate manufacturing processes and testing systems prior to product launch
• Conduct risk analysis and establish mitigation measures for both product and process design
• Support pilot builds and early production runs, leading root cause investigations and corrective actions as needed
• Perform post-launch evaluations to drive continuous improvement in future NPI efforts

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a similar field
• At least 5 years of experience in quality or manufacturing, including 2 years in NPI or product development
• Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or ISO13485
• Proficient in quality tools and techniques, including APQP, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, MSA,8D, and DMAIC
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration abilities
