We are seeking a Johor-based Senior Facilities Manager for our client in the electronics manufacturing space to lead and oversee all aspects of their facility operations across office, production, warehouse, and external areas such as truck yards and landscaping. This role is key in ensuring that all infrastructure, equipment, and systems are maintained to support efficient, safe, and compliant operations.
Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate the maintenance, repair, and modification of buildings, production spaces, equipment, and site infrastructure.
Lead planning and execution of facility upgrades, space planning, and layout optimization across the plant and office areas.
Oversee preventive maintenance and ensure the effective functioning of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and fire safety systems.
Implement and standardize facility procedures to enhance operational efficiency and cost control.
Supervise the facilities team and external contractors, assigning tasks and ensuring adherence to procedures and timelines.
Manage budgets, approve purchase orders, and prepare regular reports for senior management and accounting teams.
Evaluate facility usage, conduct space audits, and provide recommendations for improvements or expansions.
Coordinate construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects including scope definition, vendor management, and compliance with design specifications.
Ensure adherence to all regulatory and statutory requirements, including liaising with authorities such as DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, SPKA, and KPDNKK.
Oversee safety programs such as emergency response, first aid, chemical handling, and OSHA compliance.
Maintain and update disaster recovery and site readiness plans.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical discipline.
At least 10 years of experience in facilities management, ideally within a regulated or high-tech manufacturing environment.
In-depth knowledge of cleanroom operations, GMP standards, and environmental control systems.
Technical expertise in HVAC, electrical systems, and building safety infrastructure.
Proven experience managing preventive maintenance schedules, service contractors, and operational budgets.
Well-versed in local safety codes and government regulations.
Hands-on leader with strong problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and clear communication.
