Director of Nursing Vancouver, WA | Full-Time | On-Site Salary Range: $113,000 – $140,000
A leading behavioral health facility in Vancouver, WA is seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to join the executive leadership team. This role is ideal for a patient-centered leader who is passionate about advancing mental health care and driving excellence in clinical service delivery across inpatient psychiatric programs.
As the Director of Nursing, you will provide leadership and oversight to the nursing management team, foster a culture of clinical excellence, and ensure adherence to both internal standards and external regulations. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll serve as a key liaison between patients, staff, physicians, and referral partners—helping to coordinate care that is both effective and empathetic.
Lead and supervise nursing operations and staff
Uphold and advance the facility’s behavioral health philosophy and care objectives
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality outcomes
Prepare monthly operational and clinical performance reports
Maintain compliance with all clinical, accreditation, and regulatory standards
Develop and implement initiatives that improve patient care and staff engagement
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of Washington
Experience in behavioral health or psychiatric nursing
Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business (or in progress)
Prior leadership experience in inpatient psychiatric care
Familiarity with dual-diagnosis, substance use disorders, and geriatric mental health care
Competitive salary: $113,000–$171,000/year
