Job Title: Pediatric ECMO Specialist – Registered Nurse (Nights) Location: Houston, TX (77030) – Onsite Department: Pediatric ECMO Program Reports To: ECMO Program Manager Schedule: Full-Time, Night Shift Vacancies: 3 Salary Range: $90,000 – $140,000 (Relocation package available)
This is an opportunity to join one of Texas' most established and high-volume Pediatric ECMO programs. In this role, you will provide advanced extracorporeal life support for critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The program is nationally recognized as an ELSO Center of Excellence and offers a strong foundation in clinical innovation, education, and compassionate care.
Manage and operate ECMO circuits during pediatric and neonatal emergencies
Provide developmentally appropriate, patient-centered care
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes
Participate in simulation training, quality improvement efforts, and program initiatives
Ensure compliance with clinical, regulatory, and safety standards
Assist with onboarding, mentoring, and skills development of new team members
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Minimum of 2 years of ECMO Specialist experience
Clinical background in Pediatric or NICU settings preferred
Active RN license in Texas or a compact state
Current BLS certification (additional unit-specific certifications may be required)
Virtual interview with ECMO Program Manager and Director
Onsite interview including a SIM Lab assessment with the ECMO Coordinator
