Compliance Officer

Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to ensure the organization operates in line with legal, regulatory, and internal policy standards. The ideal candidate will develop and maintain compliance programs, assess risks, and provide guidance to management on regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce compliance policies and procedures.
• Conduct audits, risk assessments, and investigations.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (AML, GDPR, ISO, etc.).
• Liaise with regulators and prepare compliance reports.
• Deliver staff training on compliance and ethics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or Accounting (must be called to the Nigerian Bar).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in compliance, audit, or regulatory roles.
• Strong knowledge of risk management, AML/CFT, and corporate governance.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Experience in the Construction or Energy sector is an advantage.
