Job Summary:

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems, components, and machinery to enhance production processes and ensure product quality. This role requires expertise in engineering principles, project management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to create efficient and reliable mechanical designs that meet company and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Development:

   • Create and develop mechanical systems, components, and machinery for use in production processes.
   • Use CAD and other design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) to produce detailed designs, models, and specifications.
   • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety requirements during design.

2. Project Management:

   • Manage engineering projects from concept through to completion, ensuring all timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
   • Coordinate with departments such as production, procurement, and quality assurance to ensure alignment on project goals.
   • Provide technical guidance and support to production teams during the setup, troubleshooting, and optimization phases.

3. Testing and Analysis:

   • Conduct simulations, stress tests, and analyses (e.g., FEA - Finite Element Analysis) to validate design integrity and performance.
   • Test prototypes and production units for functionality, safety, and durability, making adjustments as necessary.
   • Analyze testing results to identify opportunities for improvement in design and manufacturing processes.

4. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

   • Develop maintenance procedures to improve equipment efficiency and reduce downtime.
   • Assist in troubleshooting issues related to mechanical systems and machinery.
   • Recommend upgrades or modifications to existing systems to enhance performance and cost-effectiveness.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

   • Maintain detailed records of designs, test results, and modifications.
   • Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate project updates, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.
   • Update technical documentation to reflect design changes, maintenance schedules, and operational procedures.

6. Safety and Compliance:

   • Conduct risk assessments for mechanical systems and implement safety measures.
   • Ensure all engineering activities comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience:
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and analysis tools (e.g., FEA).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, material properties, and manufacturing processes.
