Role: Architect / Tech Lead

Role Summary

The ERP Architect / Tech Lead is responsible for designing and leading the development of an enterprise-level ERP platform that supports multiple business functions such as corporate services, accounting, tax, compliance, legal, HR, and business development across different countries. This role serves as the technical foundation of the platform by translating complex business requirements into a scalable, secure, and modular ERP architecture.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture Design

• Define and design the end-to-end ERP architecture with a focus on modular, scalable, and cloud-native systems.
• Design systems capable of supporting multi-entity and multi-country business operations.
• Build frameworks that support regulatory and compliance workflows across multiple jurisdictions.
• Select appropriate architecture patterns such as microservices or modular monolith based on system requirements.
• Implement event-driven architecture to support compliance tracking, alerts, and workflow automation.
• Ensure consistent and reliable data flow across ERP modules such as HR, Finance, Compliance, and Legal.

Technical Leadership

• Lead the ERP engineering team including developers, QA engineers, and DevOps professionals.
• Convert product requirements into detailed technical architecture and system design.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and business stakeholders including legal, tax, and compliance teams.
• Drive the technical roadmap in alignment with the overall product strategy.

Integration & Platform Development

• Design ERP integrations with banking systems, NBFC workflows, government portals, and third-party platforms such as CRM tools.
• Implement an API-first architecture to enable secure and reliable data exchange across systems and jurisdictions.
• Utilize Generative AI tools to enhance productivity and development efficiency.

Data & Governance

• Define master data models covering clients, entities, and jurisdictions.
• Establish strong data lineage, governance, and audit trail mechanisms.

Delivery & Engineering Excellence

• Lead Agile/Scrum execution for ERP development initiatives.
• Ensure timely product releases with high-quality standards.
• Manage technical debt and drive performance optimization initiatives.
• Mentor and guide junior team members to strengthen the engineering capability.

Reporting Structure

• This role reports to the Product Manager and oversees Developers and QA Engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering.
• MBA is optional but beneficial for aligning technology with product strategy.
• 10–15+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 3–5+ years of experience in ERP architecture or enterprise application development.
• Experience in the NBFC or Financial Services domain is preferred.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional technical teams.

Technical Skills

ERP & Application Development

• Strong experience in building or customizing ERP platforms.

Backend Technologies

• Proficiency in Java, .NET, Node.js, or Python.

Frontend Technologies

• Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.

Architecture & Integration

• Strong understanding of Microservices architecture.
• Experience in API design using REST or GraphQL.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture using tools such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

Cloud & DevOps

• Experience working with AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Data & Analytics

• Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of data modelling and database design.
• Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI.
