Job Title: Production/Process Manager – Grain-Based Distillery
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production/Process Manager to oversee operations at our grain-based distillery plant. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of alcohol production processes including ENA, RS, DDGS, fermentation, milling, liquefaction, and wash management. This role is critical to ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality production while maintaining compliance with industry standards and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Oversight:
Manage and optimize daily operations of ENA and RS production.
Supervise fermentation, milling, liquefaction, and distillation processes.
Monitor wash preparation and handling to ensure consistency and quality.
Process Management:
Implement and improve process control systems to enhance efficiency and yield.
Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
Ensure proper utilization of raw materials and energy resources.
Quality & Compliance:
Maintain strict adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with quality control teams for sampling and analysis.
Ensure environmental and safety compliance across all production activities.
Team Leadership:
Lead and train production staff to maintain high performance and safety standards.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare and maintain production reports, logs, and documentation.
Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field.
Minimum 5–10 years of experience in a grain-based distillery or similar industry.
Strong knowledge of ENA, RS, DDGS production processes.
Hands-on experience with fermentation, milling, liquefaction, and distillation.
Familiarity with plant automation and process control systems.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
Knowledge of sustainability practices in distillery.
