Job Description – Pork Sales Manager (East Africa)
Position: Pork Sales Manager – East Africa Location: Kampala, Uganda (with regional travel)
Reporting to: Directors/ Managing Director
Job Purpose
To develop and grow pork sales across East African markets, including Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan. The role is responsible for increasing revenue, building customer relationships, managing key accounts, and expanding market presence for fresh, chilled, frozen, and processed pork products.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
· Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
· Develop new customers in retail, wholesale, hospitality, and processing sectors.
· Manage key accounts including supermarkets, butcheries, hotels, restaurants, and distributors.
· Negotiate contracts, pricing, and supply agreements.
· Identify new market opportunities in East Africa.
Customer Relationship Management
· Maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
· Resolve customer complaints and service issues.
· Conduct regular customer visits and market surveys.
Market Intelligence
· Monitor competitor pricing and activities.
· Analyze market trends and consumer preferences.
· Provide monthly sales forecasts and market reports.
Distribution & Logistics
· Coordinate deliveries with logistics teams.
· Ensure product availability and cold-chain compliance.
· Monitor stock levels and customer demand.
Team Management
· Supervise sales representatives and distributors.
· Train and mentor sales staff.
· Track sales performance and KPIs.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Agriculture, Animal Science, or related field.
· 3–5 years of experience in meat, poultry, livestock, FMCG, or food product sales.
· Experience working across East African markets is preferred.
· Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Commission Structure Example
· 0.5% commission on monthly sales above target.
· 1.0% commission on new customer sales during the first 12 months.
