Job Description
Project Development Supervisor – Solar Energy Projects (100–200MW)
About The Role
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
Project Development Supervisor
to support the development and implementation of utility-scale solar energy projects (100–200MW) across Zambia. The successful candidate will provide end-to-end administrative, operational, and coordination support to the project team while serving as a key liaison between internal departments, government authorities, power utilities, consultants, contractors, investors, and local stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Administration
Support project panning, scheduling, activity tracking, and progress monitoring for solar PV projects.
Coordinate interna and external meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements.
Arrange ogistics, travel, and accommodation for field visits and business trips.
Prepare meeting agendas, record minutes, maintain action trackers, and folow up on assigned tasks.
Market Research & Project Development Support
Conduct research on Zambia's renewable energy market, solar industry trends, and regulatory developments.
Collect, analyse, and organize project-related data to support feasibility studies and strategic decision-making.
Assist in preparing project proposals, presentations, technical reports, and briefing materials for internal and external stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement & Regulatory Compliance
Serve as a liaison with government agencies, power utilities, regulatory authorities, local partners, consultants, contractors, and investors.
Support the preparation, submission, and follow-up of project permits, approvals, licenses, and compliance requirements.
Maintain accurate records of stakeholder communications, negotiation meetings, and regulatory documentation.
Reporting, Budget & Documentation Management
Monitor project expenditures and maintain expense records.
Assist with budget tracking and project financing documentation.
Prepare periodic project progress reports, dashboards, and management updates.
Organize and maintain project fies, contracts, technical documents, and official correspondence.
Site Coordination & Field Support
Participate in site inspections and fied visits to solar plant locations, substations, and project land sites.
Coordinate on-site activities and assist with fied data collection and reporting.
Support project surveys, stakehoder meetings, and site investigations.
Qualifications & Experience
Bacheor's Degree in
Project Management, Business Administration, Eectrical Engineering
, or a reated field.
Minimum of
2 years' experience
in project administration, project coordination, infrastructure, energy, or deveopment projects.
Outstanding fresh graduates with strong academic records and demonstrated eadership potential are encouraged to apply.
Experience in document management, report writing, and stakehoder engagement will be an added advantage.
Core Competencies
Excelent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite (Exce, Word, and PowerPoint)
.
Strong organizationa, planning, and time-management skills.
Abiity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High evel of attention to detail, professionalism, and accountability.
Strong interpersona skills and the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Adaptabiity and willingness to undertake frequent field travel and work in dynamic environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic understanding of soar PV project development, construction, and operations.
Famiiarity with Zambia's energy policies, power sector regulations, and permitting processes.
Prior exposure to renewabe energy projects in Zambia or Southern Africa.
Understanding of ocal business environments, power institutions, and stakeholder networks.
Basic knowedge of power stations, substations, and related energy infrastructure.
