Job Description
American Musical Supply, a leading online musical instrument retailer is searching for a dedicated and hard-working
Accounts Payable / Staff Accountant
for a temporary position in its accounting department. We anticipate the position to run for at least four months, with a possibility of it extending to six months. We are a privately-owned company in Oakland, NJ and offer a pleasant and friendly work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for all SG&A Accounts Payable (non-merchandise related) for all entities. Enter and pay all invoices in a timely manner.
Balance sheet account reconciliation for multiple accounts including but not limited to Suspense and Prepaid accounts.
Preparation and entry of weekly payroll entries for multiple entities; familiarity with ADP reporting a plus.
Maintain daily credit card receipt reconciliation worksheet.
Responsible for all employee expense reimbursement checks.
Completion of all quarterly and yearly census reporting requirements.
Assist with company audits as requested.
Additional and ad hoc tasks as requested.
Skills and Qualifications:
3-5 years of related accounting and AP experience
Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software preferred. Experience with Great Plains / Microsoft Dynamics a big plus
Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, well-organized self-starter.
