- As a member of the System Support Engineering team, the primary responsibilities encompass the following technical domains:
- Design for Supportability: Focused on optimizing support equipment impacts and ensuring that systems are designed with maintainability and operational efficiency in mind.
- New Support Equipment Development: Engaged in the conceptualization, design, and implementation of innovative support equipment solutions to enhance operational capabilities.
- Support Equipment Recommendation Data (SERD): Responsible for the analysis and documentation of SERD to inform decision-making processes regarding support equipment selection and utilization.
- Facilities Planning: Involved in the strategic planning and layout of facilities to accommodate support equipment and maintenance operations effectively.
- Depot Maintenance Plant Equipment (DMPE): Overseeing the management and optimization of DMPE to ensure readiness and reliability in maintenance operations.
- Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Candidate List Management: Tasked with the evaluation and management of GSE candidates to ensure alignment with operational requirements and supportability objectives.
Position Responsibilities:
- Serve as an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) representative within the aircraft design Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). This role involves the identification, documentation, and resolution of potential impacts on existing Support and Test Equipment (STE), which includes reusable containers, Peculiar Ground Support Equipment (PGSE), Common Ground Support Equipment (CGSE), transportability equipment, and test equipment.
- Identify design modifications that necessitate the introduction of new STE or alterations to existing STE. Collaborate with the design team to mitigate impacts through straightforward redesigns or proceed with the documentation of recommendations for new or redesigned support equipment.
- Ensure compliance with System Performance Specification requirements pertaining to Support Equipment design changes resulting from aircraft configuration upgrades.
- Conduct research, document findings, and provide technical information to support the establishment of processes for the development and maintenance of support products, engineering data, and an integrated support infrastructure.
Required Skills:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Army aviation.
- Proficient in one or more aspects of sustainment engineering.
- Demonstrated fluency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience with legacy or new production military aircraft such as AH-64 OR AH-6i.
- Experience with military aircraft sustainment products and services.
- Experience providing technical integration across multiple sustainment engineering teams.
- Experience developing integrated plans and schedules.
- Experience with Earned Value Management.
Education / Experience:
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.Position Comments:
