Job Title – Registered Nurse (RN) – Obstetrics
Unit – Obstetrics / Labor & Delivery
Duration of Assignment – 13 Weeks
Location – Tuba City, AZ
Shift – Flexible Days / Evenings / Nights & Weekends
Guaranteed Hours – 36 Hours/Week
Salary Range – Up to $75/hour (Based on experience)
Job Duties:
- Provide comprehensive, family-centered nursing care to mothers and newborns during antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and Labor & Delivery phases
- Perform obstetric nursing procedures requiring professional judgment and independent decision-making
- Assist physicians and certified nurse midwives during examinations, labor, delivery, and procedures
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, respond to emergent situations, and provide appropriate interventions
- Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Allscripts EMR
- Deliver culturally competent care to a diverse patient population
- Follow physician orders, nursing standards of care, hospital policies, and procedures
Requirements:
- Active, full, unrestricted RN license (any U.S. state or territory accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of OB nursing experience (Antepartum, Intrapartum, Postpartum, Nursery, L&D)
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP – Required (AHA)
- AWHONN Intermediate & Advanced EFM – Required within 6 months
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) – Required within 6 months
- STABLE Certification – Required within 1 year
- Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) – Required within 1 year
- Fingerprinting must be submitted and cleared prior to start
- Holiday coverage required
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends
