Job Description:

• The City of Milwaukee is seeking a Certified Project Manager IV / Senior Project Manager to support a major enterprise transformation project involving the replacement of Oracle PeopleSoft (FMIS / HRMS) with Workday for HR, Payroll, and Financial systems.
• The selected candidate will collaborate with multiple city departments to gather and document business requirements, ensure departmental needs are accurately reflected in the new Workday environment, and coordinate closely with the implementation vendor for system updates and issue resolution.
• This role requires a highly organized professional with strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and confidence working in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
• Required Skills:
• PMP Certification (mandatory at submission)
• 2+ years of Workday implementation experience
• 2+ years of Project Management experience
• 2+ years of Workday Time Tracking experience
• 3+ years coordinating internal stakeholders and external vendor teams
• Experience documenting current-state (“as-is”) business processes
• Experience scheduling/facilitating Teams meetings with agendas and project deadlines
• Preferred Skills:
• Project planning and task documentation
• Risk identification, assessment, and mitigation
• Resource and activity planning based on project scope/SOW
• Strong stakeholder communication skills
