Composite Mechanic (M04BI4) (37416237)

• Employees can perform the critical functions of the composite’s mechanic including:
• Operate impregnating, perforating, cutting, roll form, press and curing machines, and testing equipment in the fabrication of composite materials and core details in accordance with established processes and procedures.
• Load, unload and operate ovens and autoclaves in the curing of parts and assemblies.
• Operate portable repair/bonding equipment to accomplish rework, repair or change incorporation on completed assemblies = moisture removal, double vacuum debulk, overlay repairs, apply precured patches, secondary bonding, edge trimming, sanding, heat blankets, scarfing, thermal cure, and ply repair of less than 400 square inches.
• Disassemble and prepare assemblies to accomplish rework, repair or change incorporation on completed assemblies.
• Other directly related duties as requested and required.
• Skills:    
• Must have composite experience in aerospace
• 3 Axis CNC machining experience

Computer skills

• Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift, over time, weekends as per business needs
• Must be able to stand and work for entire shift
