Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to support patient registration, scheduling, admissions, insurance verification, and customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to providing an excellent patient experience.
Responsibilities:
Register and admit patients accurately.
Verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations.
Schedule appointments and maintain patient records.
Collect patient payments and update demographic information.
Answer phones and assist patients with registration and billing inquiries.
Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
Previous Patient Access, Registration, Admissions, or Medical Office experience preferred.
Experience with Epic or other EHR systems preferred.
Strong computer, communication, and customer service skills.
