Nursing Supervisor LTC

Job Description:

• The Long-Term Care Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursing unit during the night shift and ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care. The Supervisor provides leadership and support to nursing staff, monitors resident care, and ensures compliance with facility policies and clinical standards.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and support nursing staff during the night shift.
• Monitor resident care, safety, and overall well-being.
• Address clinical concerns and changes in residents’ conditions.
• Coordinate with nurses, CNAs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation and completion of required reports.
• Handle staffing issues and provide guidance to team members.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and resident/family concerns.
• Promote teamwork and maintain a positive, professional environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Schedule:
• Night shift
• Every other weekend
• Qualifications:
• Current nursing license/certification as required by the facility.
• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced long-term care environment.
• Requirements:
• RN license in NY
• BLS & ACLS
