Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive sales growth and business development for our Water Treatment Plant (WTP) business vertical, including ETP, STP, ZLD, UF, RO, and DM systems.

The candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, acquiring customers, managing sales activities, handling commercial negotiations, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business growth strategies for the Water Treatment Plant business.
• Identify new markets, customers, and business development opportunities to increase market share.
• Generate and manage enquiries related to Water Treatment Plants, Pumps & Services.
• Understand customers' technical and commercial requirements and propose suitable solutions.
• Handle the complete sales cycle, including lead generation, client meetings, presentations, negotiations, order closure, and payment follow-ups.
• Develop relationships with consultants, contractors, end users, architects, and interior professionals for vendor approvals and business opportunities.
• Manage commercial negotiations, pricing, closures, and statutory compliance follow-ups.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and installation of products and services.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
• Conduct customer presentations, meetings, and other business development activities.
• Ensure regular service follow-ups and customer satisfaction after installation.
• Understand customer problems and provide appropriate technical and commercial solutions.
• Maintain customer interactions and business development activities through CRM.
• Prepare regular sales and business development reports for management.
• Support, guide, and train the sales team when required.
• Travel extensively within the assigned region for customer meetings and business development activities.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in the Water Treatment Plant industry.
• Strong experience in ETP / STP / ZLD / UF / RO / DM systems.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in sales management in the relevant territory.
• Good understanding of both technical and commercial aspects of WTP solutions.
• Experience in B2B sales, business development, design, and installation.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and networking skills.
• Ability to independently manage customers and sales processes.
• Strong strategic, analytical, and planning skills.
• Good technical understanding with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Willingness to travel extensively for business development activities.

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering – Preferred
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering can also be considered.
