The Client:
On behalf of our Client, a Banking Institution in Nicosia, we are looking to recruit ESG Risk Analyst.
The Position:
The ESG Risk Analyst will report to the Head of Risk Management Function and will be responsible to update and monitor the Bank’s ESG Plan, ensure the timely implementation of the milestones under each stakeholders’ responsibility, and assist the advancement of the Bank’s ESG Strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Data Collection & Management:
Work with ESG stakeholders to identify data gaps, accuracy issues, and start process(es) to fill gaps
Ensure the extraction, collection, measurement, organization, curation, and analysis of ESG data to meet global ESG reporting and communication needs
Strategy & Implementation:
Assist in the development and implementation of the Bank’s ESG strategy
Maintain deep understanding of ESG landscape, reporting, and disclosure trends of reporting frameworks, and standards, legislation, and best practices
Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations and keeps up to date with changing regulations and policies.
Communication, Disclosure, & Reporting:
Drive Ancoria Bank’s periodic ESG Reporting, and Support ESG framework alignment and disclosure, in accordance with the applicable regulations and standards
Serve as a key contact for ESG matters.
Risk Management Framework:
Assist the inclusion of ESG in the Risk Appetite of the Bank
Ensure ESG principles are included in relevant risk policies
Assist in the ESG materiality risk assessment and quantification
Complying with internal policies, practices and procedures
Adhering to local and international regulatory requirements
Identifying and reporting any discrepancies/cases of non-compliance to the appropriate person
Keeping abreast with key developments and trends related to own role.
Undertaking any other duties and projects as assigned by management.
Skills/ Qualifications/ Experience:
University Degree in Finance, Economics, Operational Research, Mathematics or other related subject and
Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Operational Research, Mathematics and/or
Holder of a Professional Qualification such as Chartered Accountant (ACA), Certified Accountant (ACCA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Analyst (CFA)
Previous experience in an ESG related role, preferably in the banking or financial services industry, or advisory with banking industry exposure, will be considered as an advantage.

Location: The position is for the Client's offices in Nicosia, Cyprus.
