Systems Developer

The Client: 

On behalf of our Client, a Banking Institution in Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Systems Developer.

The Position: 

The Client is looking for a Systems Developer with expertise in Visual Studio .Net Development, APIs and messaging systems, responsible for analyzing, designing, and programming in-house applications and procedures to meet the Bank's business needs and compliance objectives. The role requires innovative problem-solving skills, the ability to work effectively under pressure, and maintaining high quality and standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• System Development: Develop, maintain, and support banking sector-oriented systems to meet business needs and compliance objectives.

• Collaboration: Cooperate with other programmers as part of a team to ensure successful project outcomes.

• Analysis and Design: Analyze and design in-house applications and procedures, ensuring they align with business requirements.

• Programming: Implement innovative solutions using various programming languages and methodologies.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality standards are maintained throughout the development process.

• Problem Solving: Demonstrate high problem-solving skills to address and resolve issues effectively.

• Time Management: Manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines and targets.

• Documentation: Maintain documentation of development processes, code, and system designs.

Skills/ Qualifications/ Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in system development, particularly within the Banking Sector or generally Financial Sector.

• Knowledge of: 

  1. Visual Studio 2019+ with vb .Net,

  2. API design and development, including REST services.

  3. XML scripting and handling, and JSON.

  4. Microsoft SQL 2019. relational databases and database design,

  5. Messaging protocols and systems (e.g., JMS, AMQP).

  6. Azure DevOps practices.

  7. Microsoft Office components and Microsoft Windows environment.

Location:

The position is for the Bank's offices in Nicosia, Cyprus.
