Our client, a regulated AIFM, is looking to hire an Assistant Portfolio Manager (Fixed Income and Equities) to join their team in Nicosia.
The Position:
As an Assistant Portfolio Manager in Fixed Income and Equities, you will play a critical role in assisting our senior portfolio managers in the day-to-day management of investment portfolios. Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with senior portfolio managers in the development and execution of investment strategies in both fixed income and equities.
Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify investment opportunities and risks.
Monitor and manage portfolio holdings, ensuring alignment with client objectives and risk parameters.
Assist in the implementation of trading strategies, including the execution of buy and sell orders.
Analyze and interpret market trends, economic data, and company performance to make informed investment decisions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of portfolio activity and performance.
Prepare and present investment recommendations and performance reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
Follow industry developments and regulatory changes to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Provide support in client communication and relationship management, including addressing client inquiries and assisting in portfolio reviews.
Contribute to the development and improvement of investment models and tools.
Skills/ Qualifications/ Experience:
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. A relevant master's degree or CFA designation is a plus.
3-5 years of experience in financial markets, preferably in fixed income.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis.
Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal and proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and analysis.
Knowledge of portfolio management principles, investment strategies, and risk management.
Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.
A strong work ethic and a passion for financial markets.
