The Company:
Our Client, a leading importer and distributor of animal feed raw materials in Cyprus, is seeking to recruit a General Manager for its offices in Limassol, Cyprus.
The Position:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated General Manager to oversee key business operations in Cyprus and collaborate with the parent company in Greece. This role is essential in managing relationships with key clients, coordinating logistics, ensuring smooth corporate finance processes, and contributing to high-level decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong financial background, hands-on experience in sales and operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Key Account Management:
Formulation of commercial policy in collaboration with parent company’s CEO in Greece.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with major clients and key accounts.
Provide strategic insights to improve client satisfaction and retention.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base.
Achieve and exceed sales targets through strategic planning and execution.
Drive sales initiatives to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
2) Logistics Coordination:
Manage and oversee the logistics operations within Cyprus.
Provide timely updates to the parent company’s central office, regarding stock levels.
Forecast sales trends and coordinate procurement activities to meet demand.
3) Corporate Finance:
Ensure accurate financial planning and analysis.
Handle factoring operations and manage financial transactions.
Negotiate with banks and drafting of banking contracts.
4) Audit and Compliance:
Act as the main point of contact for Certified Auditors during financial statement closures.
Ensure all financial practices comply with regulatory standards and company policies.
5) Reporting:
Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports to the central office on sales performance, inventory status, and financial metrics.
Analyze data for strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
6) Strategic Support:
Provide high-level support to parent company’s CEO by analyzing data and contributing to strategic planning.
Stay informed on industry trends and ensure operations meet market demands.
Skils and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Finance.
Master’s degree in Agricultural Economy will be considered an advantage.
Minimum of 5 years experience in corporate operations, logistics and corporate finance, preferably within the agricultural sector.
Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and stakeholder engagement.
Proficient in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and financial management tools.
Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects independently.
Knowledge of local market dynamics and regulatory requirements in Cyprus.
Fluent in English and Greek, both written and spoken.
