The Company:
A European Real Estate and Hospitality organization, headquartered in Nicosia, that invests in, develops and operates hotels, currently, in Athens, Brussels, Milan, Paris and Porto, is seeking to fulfill the position of Human Resources (HR) Manager to work in close collaboration with the organization leadership team. The Role is to be located in the company headquarters in Nicosia.
The Position:
The HR Manager is a senior executive responsible for leading the human resources function and shaping the people strategy to support the company’s overall vision, expansion plans and business objectives across countries. Acting as a strategic business partner to the Executive Team and Management in the multiple countries that the Company operates (Greece, Italy, France, Portugal, Belgium), the HR Manager ensures that HR initiatives drive performance, foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, and ensure compliance with all employment laws and internal standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership & Business Partnering
Develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational goals and long-term growth.
Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on all HR and people-related matters.
Align HR initiatives with business priorities to ensure agility and organizational success and drive change management effectively.
2. Organizational Design and Workforce Planning
Define organizational structure and talent needs across departments and regions in collaboration with department heads.
Develop scalable staffing plans to support current and future business needs while ensuring cost rational and lean operations.
Establish workforce policies and procedures to accommodate local labor laws and local norms and cultural nuances.
3. Legal Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and employment regulations in each operating country.
Develop protocols for employee relations, grievances and disciplinary actions.
Develop, ensure adherence and address complains of anti-harassment policies, equal opportunities, anti-discrimination, etc.
4. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
Develop the talent acquisition process and as the company grow build and oversee a Talent Acquisition team capable of hiring at scale if needed.
Develop employer branding strategies to attract talent across European markets and create a consistent and efficient onboarding process that ensures cultural alignment and quick integration both in headquarters in Cyprus but also in local jurisdictions.
5. Compensation, Benefits, and Rewards
Design competitive, equitable, and scalable compensation and benefits structures across multiple jurisdictions.
Develop review, i.e. annual performance reviews, recognition and reward systems to enhance employee motivation and retention.
6. Learning & Development
Implement training programs for leadership development, upskilling, and compliance, across disciplines, from housekeeping to heads of departments.
Establish a performance management system that promotes continuous feedback and career progression and also foster a culture of learning, innovation, accountability and mutual respect.
7. Employee Engagement & Culture
Champion the development of a strong, inclusive, and values-driven culture.
Design and oversee employee engagement programs, surveys, and feedback loops.
Lead diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives.
8. HR Operations & Technology
Select and implement scalable HR information systems, including tools for payroll, annual leaves processes, time tracking, and employee lifecycle management.
Establish efficient HR processes and metrics to drive data-driven decision-making and ensure seamless HR operations that support employees in multiple countries.
Skills & Requirements:
Bachelor’s in HR/Business Administration/Organizational Psychology/ Social Sciences.
Master’s in HRM or MBA preferred: HR certifications (CIPD) an advantage.
10-15 years in HR, 5+ years in management positions: experience in hospitality, FMCG, or high-headcount operations; international HR management advantageous.
Fluent English & Greek
The ability to align HR strategy with overall business goals.
High emotional intelligence to build strong relationships and understand employee needs.
The ability to mediate and resolve conflicts within the workplace.
Fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture, with a strong understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles.
The capacity to navigate change and adapt to new trends in the workforce.
Location: The position is for the Client's offices in Nicosia, Cyprus
