The Client: CYPET Technologies LTD is an international manufacturer of machinery for the production of plastic bottles. They are the global leaders in single stage Injection Stretch Blow Molding equipment for production of large PET containers, as well as PET containers with integrated handles.
The Position:
On behalf of our Client, CYPET Technologies Ltd, we are looking to recruit a skilled and highly motivated Industrial Automation Engineer to join their newly formed Automation Engineering team.
As an Industrial Automation Engineer, you will take ownership and drive a range of automation projects as well as you will play a critical role in developing and optimizing our products, systems and processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Programming of machine PLCs and 6 axis Robots:
Read, Develop, test, apply software programs for machine programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to perform new tasks or improve existing functionality of CYPET machines.
Troubleshoot and debug PLC programs to identify and resolve issues promptly.
Develop, test and apply software for HMI hardware.
Learn to program Fanuc 6 axis robot.
Preparation and maintenance of technical documentation and training manuals.
Prepare and perform training sessions to teach other Teams internally.
Provide Technical support to customers for issues relating to PLC Software.
2) Electrical and Electronics:
Read, Design, and maintain Electrical drawings for the machines prepared by the company for customers.
Selection of Hardware relating to existing or new CYPET machines.
Coordination with external vendors for selection and ordering of hardware relating to existing or new CYPET machines.
Electrical wiring of machines, including fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
Preparation and maintenance of technical documentation and training manuals
Provide Technical support to customers for issues relating to electrical wiring or hardware.
3) Pneumatic Systems:
Read, Design, and maintain Pneumatic drawings for the machines prepared by the company for customers.
Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of pneumatic systems.
4) Standards and Machine Safety:
Reading and learning standards for implementation on new CYPET machines
Preparation and maintenance of technical documentation and training manuals regarding machine safety.
Preparation of processes for ensuring machine safety is maintained.
Skills/ Qualifications/ Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Software Engineering, or a related field
Strong proficiency in PLC programming languages, such as Ladder, Structured Text, Continuous Function Chart. Other languages such as Python and C++ will be seen positively.
Beckhoff Twincat 2 and 3 knowledge or similar environment.
Solid understanding of PLCs and Industrial Automation.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
High attention to detail
Location: The position is for the Client’s Offices and Factory in Dali, Nicosia.
