Country Manager -- Business Development Division

The Company

Our client, a leading Group that provides a spectrum of professional services to the global business and investment community, is seeking the recruitment of a Country Manager to lead their Cyprus market operations and drive the next phase of their nvestment distribution growth.

The Role

This is a senior leadership role responsible for market expansion, revenue performance, and local team leadership within a regulated investment environment. He/she will take ownership of their Cyprus business development strategy, leading client acquisition across HNWIs, institutional investors, and professional clients, while overseeing the distribution of sophisticated real estate and alternative investment products across multiple jurisdictions. This is a hands-on, client-facing role for a proactive professional who actively identifies and pursues new opportunities across Cyprus, building strong relationships and closing high- value deals. This role is pivotal in strengthening their domestic market presence while enabling the wider group’s international expansion into Greece, the UK, and the Middle East.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will act as the market leader and senior deal sponsor for Cyprus.

Commercial Leadership

• Own revenue growth and market penetration in Cyprus.
• Lead, mentor, and performance-manage the local business development team.
• Design and execute country-level sales and client acquisition strategies aligned with the firm’s global investment vision.

Strategic Deal Execution

• Act as senior closer on high-value investment transactions.
• Lead investor meetings, negotiations, and complex deal structuring.
• Drive full-cycle capital raising across:
  - UK real estate (commercial & residential) funds
  - Cyprus real estate and alternative investment funds
  - Asset-backed and structured fixed-income products

Investor & Market Development

• Build long-term strategic relationships with HNWIs, family offices, and institutional investors.
• Represent the firm at conferences, industry forums, and investor events.
• Provide market intelligence and investor feedback to senior leadership to inform product and strategy decisions.
• Proactively develop and secure new business opportunities across Cyprus through direct client engagement and relationship management.

Regulatory Oversight

• Oversee adherence to CySEC regulatory requirements across all client-facing investment activities.
• Promote a strong culture of compliance, professionalism, and investor protection.

Skills/Qualifications/ Experience

• Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. CFA or CAIA certifications are highly regarded.
• CySEC Advanced Qualification (required or to be obtained).
• 5–10+ years of experience in investment sales, capital raising, or business development within financial services.
• Proven track record of closing complex investment transactions in real estate investment funds, alternative investments / private markets, fixed income or structured products,
• Strong network among HNWIs, professional investors, and institutions, deep understanding of regulated investment environments.
• Demonstrated leadership capability and team management experience.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, results-driven professional with a strong track record of building client relationships, pursuing new opportunities, and delivering measurable business growth.
• Fluency in English and Greek; additional languages (Russian or Arabic) are an advantage.

The position is for the offices of the Client located in Nicosia, Cyprus
