Senior Accountant – Nicosia

Company 

Our client a Fiduciary Service Provider in Nicosia, is seeking to recruit an experienced Accountant to join their growing team on a full-time basis.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide support to the accounting department.

• Preparing accounting records under IFRS
• Bank accounts reconciliations
• Preparing management reports and financial statements
• VAT and VIES preparation and submission of returns
• Issuing of invoices
• Preparation of debtors/creditors reconciliations
• Client communication and general correspondence
• Working with the accounting and corporate team, supporting each other
• Liaising with external auditors for completion of audit and issuance of the Financial Statements
• Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, company policies and control processes

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• University Degree in accounting/economics/finance or other related field will be considered an advantage
• Any relevant qualification (CAT/ACA/ACCA) will be considered an advantage
• Prior demonstrated work experience in an Accounting/Bookkeeping role for 2-3 years will be considered an advantage
• Excellent written /verbal communication skills in Greek and English language / Fluency in English language is required
• Knowledge of Esoft or Synthesis accounting software will be considered an advantage
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel
• Knowledge of VAT and Cyprus Tax will be considered an advantage
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and perform well under pressure

Location: The position is for the offices of the company in Nicosia

Remuneration: An attractive remuneration package according to qualifications and experience will be offered to the successful candidate including 13th salary and Provident Fund.
