Data Solutions Analyst

On behalf of our Client, a Banking Institution with headquarters in Nicosia, we are looking to recruit a Data Solutions Analyst to join their team.

The position

The team is dedicated in designing, implementing and optimizing data infrastructure and technology solutions. It leads the adoption of data technologies, coordinates complex data projects, and streamlines critical reporting operations across the organization.

As a key member of this team, you will be actively involved in the design of the future of the Bank’s data landscape. You will work alongside colleagues and specialized partners to redesign the Data Warehouse within a new centralized framework, replacing manual processes with automated, scalable solutions. Duties and Responsibilities

• Design the logical architecture for the Bank’s new Data Warehouse, creating detailed business rules and mapping specifications to guide technical partners.
• Develop efficient data models and semantic layers to serve as the single source of truth within the Bank's central data engine
• Design data solutions that align with regulatory principles for effective risk data aggregation (BCBS 239), ensuring data accuracy, lineage, and completeness
• Analyze existing reporting workflows across the Bank to identify inefficiencies and design automated data solutions that replace legacy manual processes
• Coordinate complex data projects by acting as the functional bridge between business stakeholders (Finance, Risk, Operations) and technical implementation teams
• Translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications, ensuring that delivered solutions align with the Bank's strategic goals
• Drive the adoption of modern cloud analytics platforms (specifically Microsoft Fabric) by designing and managing certified datasets for consistent consumption.
• Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that solutions built by development partners meet design specifications and business requirements.
• Monitor data integrity within the central engine and proactively design solutions to address data quality issues at the source
• Stay updated on emerging data technologies and best practices to continuously improve the Bank's data capabilities

Skills/ Qualifications/ Experience

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Data Analytics/Management, Information Systems or related field
• Experience participating in complex data projects, such as Data Warehouse redesigns, system migrations, or automation initiatives
• Strong conceptual knowledge of relational database design, dimensional modeling, and data warehousing principles
• Expert-level SQL skills for data analysis, logic definition, and validation
• Knowledge of banking regulatory frameworks regarding data quality and aggregation (e.g., BCBS 239) is highly desirable
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, or similar cloud-based analytics ecosystems is a plus
• Ability to analyze complex manual processes and design automated technical solutions
• Strong team player with the ability to work effectively with both non-technical stakeholders and specialized technical partners

Location: The position is for the Client's offices in Nicosia, Cyprus
